PGL Major Stockholm 2021 is Likely to be Relocated

Just as The International 10, the upcoming CS:GO major PGL Stockholm 2021 might be relocated. CEO of the Romanian tournament organizer PGL Esports Silviu Stroie revealed in an email to expressen.se that the major is currently in suspension.

Silvue Stroie explained that his company requested an exemption for their event that would allow all players and staff to get to the location without issues with visa processing. They are still awaiting an answer from the Swedish authorities; however, there has not been any development in this matter. For this reason, the company is ready to make a decision to relocate the event “any day now”.

PGL Major Stockholm 2021 is currently scheduled for October 23rd – November 7th. As it is the first major CS:GO event since 2019, it features an increased to $2,000,000 prize pool. The event is supposed to take place at Avicii Arena. The same stadium that was supposed to feature The International 10, however recently VALVE moved the Dota 2 event to Bucharest, Romania. A coincidence or not, but PGL is also operates from Bucharest.
